"The Village at Allandale can not add years to Mother's
life but they can add life to her year"

~ LeVern Nunely, Family Member

A Full and Active Life

Daily activities keep our residents enjoying a full and active life. Our staff strives to continually provide fresh and inventive opportunities for personal growth – whether recreational, educational, or spiritual.

The Warmth of our Care Partners

If any one item sets the Village at Allandale apart from other assisted living facilities; it is most certainly the warmth of our caregivers. You are sure to find a smile on their faces and a great willingness to go the extra mile in making sure our residents have the care and attention they deserve.

The Enjoyment of Children

While many elder care facilities are perhaps hesitant to encourage on-site interaction with children-we love it! You see, we understand the contagious energy and joy that comes from children. It's healthy for all of us! We encourage multi-generational bonding and enjoy children being on our premises.

Sunshine, Vitamins, and Pets

Just like sunshine and vitamins, many studies now indicate that pets are just plain healthy for seniors. According to researchers, pets are not only preventive and therapeutic against everyday stress, they also promote social interaction, laughter, exercise, and optimism.

Eden Alternative Philosophy

Since inception in 2003, The Village at Allandale has operated under the Eden philosophy based on 10 principles to improve the quality of lives for Elders and their care partners. The Eden Alternative's principle - based philosophy empowers care partners to transforms institutional approaches to care into the creation of a community where life is worth living. The Eden Alternative founder, Dr. William Thomas, applies 15 yours of experience to guiding communities through the journey of culture changes. The Village at Allandale has adopted this elder centered approach trying to eliminate the signs of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom that face the majority of Elders today. Here, Elders make decisions about their everyday lives! The Village is proud to be a six time award recipient of the Tennessee Eden Alternative Grand Assistance Program offered by the Tennessee Department of Health.
